Why is romeo and juliet still relevant today?

To put it simply; Romeo and Juliet is neither about Romeo or Juliet, but rather the absolutely pointless feud which is between their two families. Many people today still fight over grudges which have long been forgotten or rendered obsolete-- it won't be hard to think of a few (hint: politics).
