To find the surface area you need to find the area of each of the sides, then add them together.
Ends (triangle): (bh/2) = (8x10)/2 = 40
   - multiply this by 2 because there are two triangles: 40x2 = 80cm^2
Sides (rectangle): (lw) = (8x60)= 480
   - multiply this by 3 because there are 3 rectangles: 480x3 = 1440cm^2
Add the two totals together to get total surface area: 80+1440 = 1520 cm^2

Perimeter of the base (rectangle): 8+8+60+60 = 136 cm
