y = a b^x

Substitute the first set of points into the equation

-3 = a * b^0

-3 = a * (1)

-3 = a

y = (-3)* b^ x

Now using the second point

-3/2 = -3 * ( b)^1

-3/2 = -3 *b

Divide each side by -3

1/2 = b

y = -3 ( 1/2) ^x
